Your new role
You will a be part of friendly HR team working on HR projects around Rewards and Benefits.
It's a hybrid working - based at the one of the following locations (Gloucester, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, or Lincolshire) 1 or 2 days a week - and the rest WFH.
This role will take the lead on and deliver an effective and business focused HR Reward Service to meet.
the business needs and priorities of the business in line with budgets and the HR strategy.
This role will take a lead in Reward focussed activities. Through effective communication skills and specialist Reward/HR knowledge and experience the post is responsible for providing advice and guidance on all areas of reward across the business and the implementation of organisation wide HR project initiatives as required.
You will be expected to:

  • Take the lead and deliver on specific reward activities, including the approach and employee engagement for all areas of reward including gender pay reporting for the Trust, annual pay review exercise, employee recognition, incentive schemes, wellbeing etc.

  • Control and lead on job evaluation, benchmarking, the completion of salary surveys, managing employee health benefits, company cars, etc.

  • Provide support and where appropriate lead on reward projects and activities,

  • Use your data analysis expertise to support strategic reward decisions that enable the achievement of the Trust's strategy and objectives while balancing value for money, and employee engagement as well as legal compliance.

  • Be pro-actively involved in Trust wide HR projects as determined by the HR strategy which have an impact on all people and enhance the engagement of our employees such as, induction and onboarding, development, communication etc.


What you\'ll need to succeed

  • Must be able to drive as travel to other Trust locations may be required

  • Significant experience working as a Reward professional within a demanding and effective HR department

  • Understanding of how all specialisms in HR inter-relate and how they impact on the business

  • Knowledge of reward frameworks and how to use these to enhance employee engagement, whilst maintaining legislative compliance and business viability *

  • Previous experience of the Gender Pay Gap (GPG) reporting process including the analysis of complex data and results to understand the changes and causes of the GPG

  • Previous experience of job grading and evaluation schemes including undertaking detailed benchmarking analysis to influence pay decisions taking into account impact on other roles and impact on gender pay reporting

  • Experience of people and reward change management projects

  • Understanding of how all specialisms in HR inter-relate and how they impact on the business

  • Accurate and up to date knowledge of employment law and of best practice and trends in relation to reward
