AlamatHilton’s APACx Product & Technology team is responsible for creating hospitality experiences of the future that delights our guests, owners, and team members. Through human centric CX and technology strategy, planning, development, deployment, and continuous support, the regional team brings in new digital experiences from concept to production. A successful candidate will help us identify channel strategy, drive digital transformation, and support our continued growth while remaining at the forefront of hospitality technology innovation.
What will I be doing?
As the Senior Manager, Product Planning and Development - APACx, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Champion Japanese consumer product conversion both quantitatively by leveraging data analytics and qualitatively via consumer reports
- Uncover insightful product concepts and make tweaks that lead to new or enhanced digital experiences
- Lead trade off meetings, farm your own dissent, and always put Hilton customers, Hilton owners and Hilton’s interests to balance decision making
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, propose multiple solutions, and ensure that development priority aligns with agreed product plans
- Craft product requirements into epic and user stories in a way that’s clear to the design and Development team
- Work closely with Japanese partners, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance product offerings and establish a strong presence in the Japan market
- Be a reliable and trustworthy partner to the business teams including marketing, loyalty, and align test strategies with ops teams to ensure successful product launches in Japan
- Drive the delivery of channel capabilities across Hilton’s web/mobile/super app streams by partnering with software engineering, enterprise infrastructure, security, and legal.
- Track key performance metrics in the Japan market, monitor product adoption, and provide regular reports on product performance, suggesting areas for improvement
- Ensure products are launched on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards

A Senior Manager, Product Planning and Development - APACx serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 7+ years of technology related experience
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Native Japanese proficiency with written and verbal communication to manage Japan market
- Strong understanding of Japanese culture nuance and consumer online behavior
- Ability to visually mockup concepts and get buy-in on changes
- Exhibit strong sense of product ownership and always looking for areas of improvement
- Japanese vendor management experience
- Experience in product management with a focus on the Japan market is must.
- Strong critical thinking and detail orientation skills
- Ability to collaborate with multiple groups and prioritize tasks.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Travel up to 40 - 50%
- Frequent travel to Japan to work to work with internal and external teams on the ground
